Into This Fold

The feeling of this light dims
The dark sky, the horizon brims
Enjoy it now, don't wish it away
It'll be the same day...
Soon
Wrecks the mind, haunts thought
“You're a brave, new kind!”
We should have, we ought...
The version we see
We imagine in our heads
Past generations plea
Stressing in their beds
Dreams dashed while dreaming
Folding over, summer beaming
Shine
For every day, there is a word
Utter the next, clarity blurred
In which direction?
Fall unto the dark
But let the light leave its mark
Built up by the soulful glow
To stave the dark, hopefully so

Stay up for the sake of you
Dark subsides, light does too
Again
